Privacy PolicyBirchwood Books will not sell, trade or give away any personal information about our customers, including but by not limited to their name, email address, phone number, purchase made, amount paid or other personal information. Payment policyAll purchases must be paid in full before shipment. Birchwood Books accepts personal or business checks, Visa, Master Card, PayPal or money orders made payable in U.S. currency to Birchwood Books. There is a seven business day hold on all personal and business checks. Return policyPease contact Birchwood Books before returning any purchase. We will issue you a return authorization. We accept the return of any purchase for any reason within thirty days provided the book(s) are returned in the same condition in which they left our store. We will only cover postage (both sent and received) if the wrong book was sent, or if the book was not properly described in our listing
Please open and inspect all packages upon arrival. Birchwood Books will only refund merchandise damaged in shipping if notified within 72 hours of arrival. Accuracy of descriptionBirchwood Books makes every attempt to accurately describe our books. At the same time, certain facts remain concerning old books that make all terminology subjective to their era. We adhere to Ahearn's Condition and Edition Statement, but as with any antique purchase, if you have specific questions or concerns, please have them clarified in advance of your purchase. Digital images are available on all books. Book packaging & shipping policyBirchwood Books packages all books in paper, bubble wrap and/or Styrofoam sheets inside USPS-approved corrugated Book Boxes. We do not use any form of tape inside the box. All books are sent USPS, return postage guaranteed unless other arrangements are made at the time of purchase. Minimum shipping charge is $3.50, US Priority Shipping is $7.50 for the 1st book, $4 for each additional book. Book insurance policyBirchwood Books recommends you insure your purchase against damage in shipping, and we require insurance on all purchases over $100. USPS currently charges 3.2% for insuring packages valued between $100 and $200. Purchases over $200 are shipped and insured through FedEx, UPS or DHL. All international purchases, except Canada, must be insured regardless of cost. If you order directly from us and not through one of the online stores, we will pay the standard USPS book rate fees on all domestic sales. Custom’s FormsSome countries may require Customs declaration forms prior to shipping, in such cases, Birchwood Book may charge $15 for obtaining, translating and completing forms other than standard USPS printed matter forms. Why isn’t Birchwood Books a member of ABAA?We will not have been in business long enough (4 years) until September, 2009 at which time we will apply. |
